The Chunichi Shimbun (The Chunichi Newspaper Co.) has awarded the 60th Chunichi Cultural Prize to Professor Daisuke Uemura (Graduate School of Science).

　Professor Uemura’s current research project at the Institute for Advanced Research is entitled “Pursuit of substances in dynamic ecological systems” (year 2004).
